National Library Week - Alumni donates books to the library

The School Library has received books worth Rs. 10, 000/- from Mr. Kiran Ramakrishnan, Director of Institute of English, Doha, Qatar during the National Library Week Celebrations.  Mrs. Rugmini Menon, TGT English handed over the books to the Principal on behalf of Mr. Kiran in the morning assembly today.

Mr. Kiran Ramakrishnan, a voracious reader and budding writer, was a student of our Vidyalaya during 1988-90. He has completed his M.A and M.Phil. in English Literature from Christian College, Chennai and has done a Diploma from Oxford University.

It is matter of pride to the vidyalaya and we thank Mr. Kiran for his kind gesture and wish him all the best.

National Library Week Celebrations 2012

The Vidyalaya will celebrate National Library Week from 14-20 November 2012 with a variety of activities. The following competitions and events will be held in connection with the National Library Week Celebrations 2012.

Newspaper In Education Daily Quiz
The quiz competition will be held from 05 - 09 November 2012 which will be based on The Hindu Student edition. The quiz questions will appear on the library notice board and the websites every day. Answers should be submitted the same day. Your entries can be deposited in the suggestion box or may be emailed to the librarian.

Online Literary Quiz
The online quiz will be held from 10 -13 November 2012. Registration will be open from 05 November at the Library website.

Book Review Competition (For members of Readers Club)
Write and post a review of any award winning book or author on the Readers Club Blog. Last date 09 November 2012
