The Children's Book Fair being organised in the School Library will not be open on 25-27 August 2017 as 25th is a holiday for the school.

The Book Fair will be open on 28 August 2017.

Welcome to Children's Book Fair at KV Kanjikode - Book Week Celebrations

The School Library is organising a Children's Book Fair in association with Green Books Palakkad in connection with Book Week Celebrations (21-27 August 2017).

User of the Month - June 2017 and July 2017

The User of the Month for June and July 2017 were rewarded on 17.08.2017 by Mrs. Deepthi Nair, Assistance Commissioner.

The winners were:
Mast. Sreedev Rajesh, X C

Sreedev Rajesh is a regular library visitor and an avid reader. He is the secretary of Readers' Club. Sreedev is one of the volunteers for arranging books and technical assistance to the library during his free time and always there to lend a helping hand during the library events and programmes.

Mast. Akul Rajeev, VIII A
Akul Rajeev is a voracious reader and a techno-savy student. His project on Google Scratch on Books and Authors was launched last month. He is also a Readers' Club member and writes reviews of the books he has read and also punctual in submission of his notes.

School Magazine Released

Mrs. Deepthi Nair, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Ernakulam released the School Magazine for 2016-17 on 17.08.2017 in the morning assembly.
The magazine was designed and prepared by the students of the Vidyalaya under the guidance of the teachers. The entire magazine work was completed in five days by 14 students who were trained by the librarian.
The e-Magazine will be available for download on the school website and library website soon.

Library launches mobile app

 Kendriya Vidaylaya Kanjikode Library has launched an Android mobile app to priovide library services literally at the fingertips of its readers. The launching was done by Mrs. Deepthi Nair, Assistant Commissioner, KVS Regional Office, Ernakulam during the morning assembly on 17.08.2017. 

The mobile application was developed by Mr. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian. The app will help the students to instantly search for library resources and place a book on hold from any mobile phone or tablet connected to the Internet. The parents will also be able to track the books issued by the students from the library and to assess the reading habit of their wards easily and quickly. 

The app can be downloaded from the school and library websites .

Teachers felicitated for best performance in AISSCE and AISSE

The teachers were feliciated for best performance in AISSCE and AISSE by Mrs. Deepthi Nair, Assistant Commissioner, KVS RO Ernakulam Region on 17.08.22017 in the morning assembly. The efforts of our teachers in bringing out best results were appreciated and certificates of appreciation from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan were handed over by the Assistant Commissioner.
In her address, Mrs. Deepthi Nair praised the school for its consistent performance in CBSE examination.

Independence Day Celebrations


Vidyalaya celebrated Independence Day with special programmes today. School was decorated with beautiful lights and decorative materials.


Mrs. K Rajeswari, Principal hoisted the flag. The school choir group led the National Anthem and Vande Mataram in which all all the students, teachers and parents joined with enthusiasm.

The Principal welcomed the gathering. Cultural programmes included Group Dance by students of secondary section and action song by students of primary section. There was a special demonstration of yoga and special performance by school band.


Sree Ganesh, Class II  and Riya Suresh, Class II made impressive speeches in Malayalam and English respectively which was received by the gathering with a huge applause. Both were presented with a book and a pouch as a token of appreciation for their wonderful presentation.


Lakshmi Sudharsan, Class IX B also spoke about the freedom struggle and the importance of the day.
