Essay Contest for Parents and Teachers - Reading Month Celebration
Dear Parents and Teachers
Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode is celebrating Reading Month from 19 June 2018 to 18 July 2018. The Vidyalaya is organising an essay contest for the parents and teachers of KV Kanjikode. We invite you all to participate in the contest and share your reading experience with us.

Medium : English/Malayalam/Hindi
Word Limit: 150-200 words
Last date: 2 July 2018
Entries can be handwritten or typed.

Note: The competition is only for the parents and teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode.
The best entries and lucky winners will get books as gifts.
Reading Day Celebration at KV Kanjikode
Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode celebrated Reading Day on June 19, 2018. Mrs. K Rajeswari, Principal inaugurated the month long celebrations today in the morning assembly by lighting the lamp. The staff and students paid homage to Shri. P N Panicker, Father of Library Movement in Kerala.
Mr. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian administered the reading pledge. Various competitions and activities are being organised during the Reading Month. Mrs. Rugmini Menon, TGT English announced the competitions that will organised by the Vidyalaya for the students, parents and teachers.
The students presented a short programme on the life and contributions of Shri. P N Panicker which was followed by the Reading Song.
Mrs. K Rajeswari, Principal stressed the importance of reading judiciously selected books and to contribute to the nation building. Mr. Subramanian, Vice Principal addressed the assembly and stressed on complete utilisation of library resources.

World Oceans Day Celebration June 8
The World Oceans Day was celebrated by the Vidyalaya on June 8 with special programme in the morning assembly. Class VIII D presented a wonderful programme aimed to create awareness among the students about the oceans. The assembly enjoyed te special quiz on Oceans of the World.

CCA Competition for the Academic Session began with JAM (Just A Minute) today. The students representing various houses participated in various rounds of the competition enthusiastically. After neck to neck competition, the final results are as follows.

Walk-in Interview for PGT Physics and Sports Coach on Contractual Basis
Walk-in interview for preparing a panel of teachers and coaches for appointment on part time contractual basis at Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode for the academic year 2018-19 will be held in the Vidyalaya from 9 to 12 hrs as detailed below: Vacancies, qualifications and remuneration as per KVS rules.
PGT (Physics) and Sports Coach Date of Interview: 06/06/2018
Qualifications
PGT Physis:
- Master Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics.
- B.Ed. or equivalent degree from recognized university
- Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications, Proficiency in teaching in Hindi and English media
Sports Coach
Bachelor Degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) or equivalent with 50% Marks.
Note: Candidates are required to bring all original certificates and a passport size photograph at the time of interview.
