Mobile Application by our Student on SIR Model to Compute Theoretical Number of People Infected with COVID-19

The following video is a presentation by Aadhi Arun, a student of KV Kanjikode on the application he developed to compute the theoretical number of people infected with a infectious disease. Please like and share it.

"This video is meant to give a mathematical standpoint on the spread of an Infectious disease using the simple SIR-Model. It teaches how to predict the average number of people who would get infected with an Infectious disease and also to stop the spread of such diseases ( to show how to stop the spread of COVID-19).
It is all demonstrated with a python APP I made. Inputted data, the app can show the outcome of a disease, the average number of people infected, and the percent of decrease after precautions are taken. Dr. Nidish Chandran and Dr. Vishnu of JIIPMER were also consulted at the last. I hope you find this video informative...Enjoy!!!"

The portal can be accessed at http://digitallibrary.kvklibrary.in

E-books, Digital Libraries and Librarian's Picks

You will find links to various websites providing access to free e-books. There are a good number of digital libraries, including International Children's Digital Library and National Digital Library of India, with a large collection of ebooks.
In the Librarian's Picks, I will be recommending books to read and this time the suggested books will from public domain only. This will be your chance to read the classics. You can download the e-books from the library site.

Online Magazines

On the portal, you will find links to various magazines that are available free online.

Online Quiz

You can improve your general knowledge through the online quizzes that are made available on the portal. You will be getting Library Points for every quiz you attempt and bonus points will also be awarded based on your performance.
We will also have some online quiz competitions

E-Resources and Study Materials

The library portal will also give you access to various e-resources, e-learning websites and materials prepared by our teacher. Selected resources for different classes will also be added shortly.

Book Reviews and Creative Works

The library will also provide you a platform to share your creative works. You can upload your book reviews, drawings., paintings, dance or music performances and other creative works.

Most of the resources are available publicly and some areas are restricted to the members of our library. Students of KV Kanjikode will be able to login to the site to access the resources. Your user name and password will shared through your online classrooms. For every activity you participate online you will be rewarded with library points. The points earned by you can be checked online.

The portal is in the testing phase. So I welcome your suggestions and feedback for further improvement.
