This is the story of Battees (Boy No. 32), an orphan boy and is set in the backdrop of under developed area of Mumbai. He witnesses the presence of a dreaded terrorist, Kashmiri Lall, in his city, Mumbai. He is the only one who can help put the terrorist behind the bars.

International Day of Yoga celebrated at KV Kanjikode with a variety of programmes, Yoga demonstration was held in the Multi Purpose Hall. Difference competitions on Yoga was also organised.

International Day of Yoga Celebrated
Under the aegis of International Day of Yoga, the following programmes were organised for sensitizing the students and the staff of the Vidyalaya spread over four days.
On 17/6/2019, the Vidyalaya was addressed by the following luminaries of Ayush Gram Palakkad Chapter. Dr. Sunitha K S, Dr. Nithin Mohan, and Yoga Instructor Ms. Jyothisha. After address by the medical professionals the yoga instructor spoke to the students and assisted them to carry out the yogasanas in sitting, standing, supine and prone positions as per CYP.
On 19/6/2019, the Primary students and teachers assembled in the Multi-purpose Hall and the Vidyalaya’s Yoga instructor with the help of few students assisted the teachers and students through Loosening exercises, followed by Tadasana, Padahastasana, Vrikshasana, Trikonasana, Pranayama, Brahmari Pranayama, Kabaala Bhathi, followed by meditataion and Shavasana. About 400 persons (students and teachers) participated in the event.
On 20/6/2019, the Secondary students from Classes VI to XII took part in the IYD 5 along with the teaching and non-teaching staff. The Complete Common Yoga Protocol was followed and all exercises starting from loosening exercises were performed covering sitting, standing, prone and supine positions. It was followed by Pranayama and meditation.
On 21/6/2019, the International Yoga Day was observed in true spirit by the whole Vidyalaya. Sri. Chittur VIjayan was the Chief Guest. Ms. G Anita PGT (Mathematics) i/c Principal welcomed the gathering. After invocation and lighting of the lamp, Sri. Chittur Vijayan addressed the Vidyalaya on the significance of the IYD and how it is significantly important for present day life. He emphasized the need to project Yoga as the panacea for all that it ailing the society. He opined what a position of pride our Country and citizens should occupy, given that Bharath is the fountain head of Yoga, Ayurveda and such like, which holds the key for all life’s ailments the world over. He highlighted how the rest of the world has taken up yoga the big way and finding peace and harmony whereas in India, the birthplace of Yoga, we are still sensitizing the society to the need to practice and propagate yoga. Ms. Sreepriya TGT (English) proposed the vote of thanks.
This programme was followed by competitions for the Secondary section. Classes VI-VIII had poster making competition, on the topic, “Yoga – a way to healthy life”, Classes IX-XII an essay writing competition on the topic, “Yoga for wellness”. Apart from this, Yoga Competition was conducted where participants have to perform certain yogasanas and they were judged on the precision and ease of performing the given asana. Thus, the International Yoga Day 5 was observed meaningfully and with purpose and all the stake holders of the Vidyalaya participated in all the events conducted under its aegis, with enthusiasm thus achieving the objective of observing the International Yoga Day.

Reading Day Celebrated
Inaugurated the programme garlanding the portrait of Sh. P N Paniker. It was followed by reading pledge. All teachers and students participated in the School Reading Together organised for one hour after the morning assembly

Cryptic Crossword Contest (CCC 2019) - Registration Open Now!
CCCC is an inter-school, national-level crossword solving contest which Extra-C has been organising since 2013.
Crosswords are a unique way to learn while having fun. Solving crossword clues benefits students in many ways. It equips them with a formidable vocabulary, power of reasoning, lateral thinking and an ability to draw quick inferences. Above all, it imparts a feeling of personal achievementand builds self-confidence. All these are a sine qua non of carving out a bright career in a job market which is becoming competitive by the day.

Anyonyam Video DVD Released by Writer Shri. KV Mohan Kumar
Shri. K V Mohan Kumar, renowned writer, released the Video DVD of Anyonyam: a compilation of national anthems of 100 countries sung by the students of KV Kanjikode by giving a copy to Mrs. Rakhi Ravikumar, Deputy Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram, in a function organised at Magic Planet, Thiruvanathapuram on 9th June 2019.

The Video DVD was the outcome of the project Anyonyam taken up by Mrs. Leena Mukundan in an effort to promote universal brotherhood and world peace. Mrs. Leena received KVS National Innovation and Experimentation Award for the project which also found a place in the Limca Book of Records.
Under her guidance, five students of our Vidyalaya - Vishal Krishnan, Abheek R, Nanditha Krishna, Vaishnavi and Thanusha have learned the national anthems of 100 countries. The national anthems were recorded and made in to videos by Mast. Antony and Mast. Drishanth with the help of Shri. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian, adding basic information of the nations to spread awareness among other students.
The DVD was released on the occasion of the inauguration of HOM (Herbal Orchard of Magic) at Magic Planet by Shri. P Sreeramakrishnan,Honorable Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly. The programme was presided over by Shri. V.K Prashanth, Mayor, Thiruvananthapuram. Famous novelist Dr. George Onakkoor, Cine Actor Premkumar, Singer Rajalakshmi and many other distinguished guests were present.

VIDYARTHI VIGYAN MANTHAN (VVM) 2019 A NATIONAL TALENT SEARCH EXAMINATION
Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (VVM) is a national program for educating and popularizing science among school students of VI to XI standards. VVM also endeavours to identify the bright minds among the student community, who are keen on subjects related to science.
It is organised by Vigyan Prasar, a national institute for science and technology communication established under Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, in association with National Council of Education Research and Training (NCERT) and Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan, a not for profit organization led by eminent scientists.
Eligibility
Students of Class VI to XI
Examination Pattern
There will be only one examination of 2 hours at school level with 100 multiple choice questions each weighted for 1 mark. The examination will be conducted for the Junior Group (class VI to VIII) and for the Senior Group (class IX to XI).
