Awareness Programme on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking

Mr. Sidharth talking about Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking
School Library organised an awareness programme on Cyber Security and Ethical Hacking for the students of Class IX - XI today in the Multipurpose Hall.

Mrs. K Rajeswari, Principal addressed the students and welcomed the guests Mr. Krishnankutty, District Coordinator, Sai Organisation and Mr. Sidharth M, a student of B.Tech Computer Science, Amritha University, Kollam. She urged the students to be aware of increasing dangers that the technological innovations brings.

Mr. Sidharth M,  introduced the students the concept of cyber security and ethical hacking and detailed the career prospectus in the field. He discussed various topics like viruses, online privacy, phishing, hacking, Internet of Things and many other internet safety and/or security issues with the students. He also introduced the students to Junior InCTF a competition on Ethical Hacking organised by Amritha University for School students.

Mr. Arun Prasanth, PGT Computer Science talked about Cyber Crimes and instructed the students to be extremely careful about the information they are sharing online and social networking etiquette.

Addressing the gathering, Mr. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian, informed that there is a high demand for cyber security professionals and it is expected to rise in the future. 

Mr. Subramanian M, Vice Principal proposed vote of thanks and  stressed about the need for understanding the Internet safety issues and learning how to be safe while surfing the Internet.

Library Technology Workshop Series II: MIT App Inventor 2


This July you can learn mobile app development through our library technology workshops.

MIT’s App Inventor is the easiest way to learn how to make an Android app. MIT App Inventor is an intuitive, visual programming environment that allows everyone – even schoolchildren – to build fully functional apps for smartphones and tablets.

Who can attend?
Any student or staff member of KV Kanjikode who is interested in learning app development using App Inventor can attend the workshop

Venue
Venue will be Library or School Computer Lab depending on the number of students.
Maximum students allowed in a batch will be limited to 20.

No Registration Fee! 

Timing
The training will be organised after school hours from 03:00 pm to 04:30 pm every day.
No classes on Saturdays.

Get consent from your parents to stay back after school hours.
Register for the training programme.
Make arrangement for your transport.
