'70 Saal Azadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani' - Talk by Major (Retd.) Raveendran in the Morning Assembly

Vidyalaya organised a special talk by Major (Retd.) Raveendran, Indian Army in the Morning Assembly on 18 August 2016 in a connection with '70 Saal Azadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani' remembering the sacrifice of the freedom fighters.

स्वच्छ भारत अभियान Swachh Bharat Abhiyan - Security and Cleaning Staff Appreciated in the Morning Assembly

 Dr. S Nalayini, Principal awarded special gifts to the Security and Cleaning Staff in the morning assembly on 16 August 2016 as a token of appreciation for their sincere and dedicated services in maintaining cleanliness of the Vidyalaya. 

The Academic Panel Inspection team has expressed their happiness on the cleanliness of the Vidyalaya and appreciated KV Kanjikode family.

Khari Kamai - खरी कमाई

 The scouts and guides of the vidyalaya organised Khari Kamai programme on Independence Day 2016. It was the first time in  KV Kanjikode. Dr. S Nalayini, Principal inaugurated the programme. The children enthusiastically participated in the Khari kamai.. by collecting nominal entry fee, 18 types of fun games, competitions and food stalls were organised by scouts &guides.

Independence Day Celebrations 2016

Independence Day was celebrated with variety of cultural programmes. Mrs. Sathy Janardhanan, HM I/c. hoisted the National Flag. The students presented group song and group dance.
The Scouts and Guides organised Khari Kamayi.

National Librarian's Day and Book Week Celebrations 2016

Remembering Dr. S R Ranganathan

Kendriya Vidyalaya Kanjikode celebrated Book Week from 8-12 August 2016 in memory of Dr. S.R Ranganathan, Father of Library Science in India. 

M/s. Green Books  organised a Book Fair on10-12 August 2016 which was a grand success. Thanks to the staff, students and parents for the cooperation.

Students presented various special programmes related to books and libraries in the morning assembly.  Class VIII C donated 6 books to the library which was handed over to the librarian in the morning assembly by the class monitors.

Book Fair by Green Books, Palakkad

A surprise literary quiz was conducted for the students. A three month long Reading Competition for enhancing the language competency of students and ensuring maximum utilization of the library resources was also kick started from 12 August 2016. 

The Book Week celebrations ended on 12 August 2016 with the Vidyalaya paying tribute to Dr. Ranganathan. Dr. S Nalayini, Principal garlanded the portrait of Dr. S.R Ranganathan, in the morning assembly and spoke about the importance of school libraries and need for better utilization of the library for higher achievements in curricular and co-curricular areas. Mr. Mujib Rahiman, Librarian spoke about the contributions of Dr. Ranganathan in the field of library and information science.
