The National Education Daywas celebrated on 11th November 2016 in the morning assembly along with Children’s Day as the Vidyalaya would remain closed on 14th November on account of Guru Nanak Jayanthi.
Tribute was paid to Shri Abu’l Kalam Azad and Shri Jawaharlal Nehru by the Principal –in-charge Shri Vijayakumar in the morning assembly by garlanding their photographs. The special programme of the day highlighted the significance of observing the day and the role of education in the development of the nation.
After the assembly programme a rally was organized and the children who participated in the rally held placards highlighting the role of education in the lives of children and in eradicating social evils. The rally was flagged off by the Principal-in-charge Shri. Vijayakumar and co-ordinated by Shri. A. Abdul Shumz, TGT-Social science.
