Pournami S of class III B grabbed first position and has become the champion, in Under 9 girls category, State School Level chess competition, conducted at Ernakulam.
Pouranami is the youngest woman FIDE rated player in Kerala.
She is also the District Champion in U-9 Girls and U-11 Girls category and has secured third position in both categories at State Level.
In the Chess Competition conducted by The Hindu at Ernakulam, Pournami emerged as the champion in U-9 Girls.
